GRADING SCALE
The grading scale is now consistent with the grading scale across the Diocese of Evansville.  High expectations are still precedence with emphasis on the percentage score, not just the letter grade.  The new criteria for Academic Achievement are the following:
 
HONOR ROLL (Grades 6 – 8)
Honor of Distinction
“A” in all subjects
No detention for behavior, homework or dress code

High Honors
“A” and one “B” in core subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts or Religion)
No more than 2 detentions, all “A” and one “B” in specialty subjects (Art, Music, Band, Health or P.E.)
No letter designation for Effort or Behavior in any subject
No more than 1 detention for behavior, homework or dress code

Honorable Mention
“A”, “B” or one “C” in any subject
No letter designation for Effort or Behavior in any subject or behavior, homework or dress code.

Scale

100% - 94%          Excellent: A
93% - 86%            Above Average: B
85% - 78%            Average: C
77% - 70%            Below Average: D
69% or below        Failure: F
